What data we collect

We use first-party, cookieless analytics to count page views and key link/button clicks in aggregate only. This means we see totals (e.g. "42 people viewed the manifesto page today") but we cannot identify individual visitors.

Specifically, we record:

We do not collect or store:

Cookies

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you use the language selector to switch between English and Welsh, your preference is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. This is not a cookie and is never sent to our server.

The admin area of the site (used only by campaign staff) uses a session cookie for login. This is a strictly necessary cookie and does not track visitors.

How we use the data

This telemetry is used only to improve campaign communications and site performance - for example, to understand which pages are most visited and whether Welsh-language content is being used.

We do not sell, share, or transfer any data to third parties.

Third-party services

The campaign videos page embeds videos from YouTube and Facebook. When you play an embedded video, those platforms may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies:

No other third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics platforms are used on this website.

Data retention

Aggregate analytics data is automatically deleted after 180 days. No individual-level data is retained at any point.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally no personal information to access, correct, or delete. If you have any concerns or questions about privacy, please contact us at contact@joehale.wales.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available at this page.
