Joe Hale has been the Independent councillor for St Thomas in Swansea East since 2012. He has lived in Swansea for over 30 years and has spent his working life in healthcare and as a trade union representative fighting for fairness and workers' rights across the east side.
Now Joe is standing for the Welsh Parliament (Senedd) in Brycheiniog Tawe Nedd to give Swansea East and the Swansea Valley a stronger voice where it matters most.

🌳 Protect Kilvey Hill Skyline -Stop private exploitation of our green spaces, defend the designated Quiet Area visible from St Thomas, Port Tennant, and across Swansea Bay
💷 Tackle Cost of Living - Challenge rising Dŵr Cymru water bills, utility costs, bus fares, and the squeeze on working families across Swansea East
🏥 Fix the NHS - More staff at Morriston Hospital and Singleton Hospital, shorter waiting lists, and joined-up care that recognizes the link between poverty and health in Swansea East
🏛️ Demand Accountability - End the blame game between Cardiff and Swansea Council while services across the east side and Swansea Valley decline
📚 Create Opportunity - Better jobs in technology, green energy, and skilled trades, plus training and investment for young people across Swansea East and the Swansea Valley
